Mr Marley's Message

It has given me great pleasure to welcome back our Prep to Year 3 students from remote learning. It won't be long now until our Senior Class returns on June 9th, the day after the Queen's Birthday public holiday. Everyone returned on Tuesday with smiling faces and a very positive attitude, and we had a beautiful autumn day to celebrate.
I am so grateful to our parents and guardians for your efforts in supporting your children through the remote learning phase. I think as a school we managed to get the balance right, and I hope that through it all you were able to discover new things about your children as learners.
I am also grateful for the huge effort sustained by our teachers and education support staff. They have barely had a break since the end of March, working through the Easter holidays and thereafter to keep the work and communication flowing. I gave each of our staff a care pack recently as a gesture of thanks; I'm sure the chocolate and coffee will be appreciated! It's only five weeks until the mid-year break, and as Minister Merlino has expressed, it will be the most well-deserved break for teachers in Victorian history.
The next week or so is a chance for our students to settle back in. We have turned off the bell, trialling an easier and more relaxed trransition, and so far it has been a great success. As mentioned in our last edition, school assemblies will not take place until further notice, but we will produce a weekly online version when our School Captains return.
Until next time, stay safe and look after yourselves.

Doesn't look very comfortable to me.

The Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge is on! Your child has received log in details in their Learning Pack. Please visit our VPRC page for more information!
Farewell from Kim!
We wish Kim and her husband Dave all the very best as they expect their first child! Kim has given us a farewell video. We expect to see Kim again early in 2021.
Harvest Cafe!
Harvest Cafe is back and it's so much better when it's filled with children!
Autumn apples are delicious so we've made apple and rhubarb crumble slice, apple muffins and apple turnovers.
We also had a wander through our kitchen garden, tasting along the path. Cumquats are particularly interesting!
