Mr Marley's Message
Well, that was a Term to remember! I have said it many times before but I need to keep expressing my sincere thanks to all of you - parents, students, staff - for your incredible support and patience during this difficult time.
I am so pleased to have all of our students back at school now, but with a worrying trend of new cases of COVID-19 in parts of Melbourne we all need to remain vigilant. I am confident that we won't have to return to remote learning in the foreseeable future, but if we ever do, we are prepared.
During the school holidays I will keep you all informed of any new developments and advice that may come from DET. Hopefully we will soon be able to welcome parents and care-givers back onto the school grounds.
I'm sure you have seen the wonderful new sensory garden at the front of the school, with the centrepiece of the Earth globe which has been re-positioned from its original place in the frog bog area. The new garden was made possible by a $3,000 sponsorship grant from our friends at Upper Yarra Community Enterprises and Warburton & Yarra Junction Community Bank Branches. It's a beautiful new feature of the school and the kids love it! A huge thank you to Kel and Lachlan Frost and their team of helpers for making this a reality.
By now you will have received student reports for Semester One. I hope you have had time to read them and discuss them with your children. We look forward to providing reports in the usual and more detailed format in December.
Have a wonderful winter break! Stay safe and enjoy the warmth of home if you can.
